Candlewood Lake is one of the biggest attractions of New Fairfield. It
is a manmade lake that was created in 1928 to be used to create hydroelectric
power in conjunction with the Housatonic River.
Candlewood Lake is the place to be during the summer. You can go
swimming, jet skiing, boating, or any other activity that you like to do in the
water. During the winter months though you will see plenty of people out
on the ice ice skating or ice fishing.

- Deepest Point is 85 Feet (in New Milford)
